"Chewing Consciousness Into Pieces" is a 20"x20" mixed media abstract expressionist painting featuring a tiger split between its normal self and its fierce feminist prowess.
Its mouth is covered by a tongue similar to the Rolling Stones logo, which was actually inspired by the Hindu Goddess, Kali, who (with her tongue out) expresses the dual nature of the destruction that must come before new beginnings and the strength of the female power.
In the upper corner of the painting is a vague honeycomb, dripping with honey, ridiculing the reminder to make our words as sweet as honey, for we may one day have to eat them.
Written on the bottom of the canvas are the words "Not Silenced" translated into characters of Ogham writing - the script in which Irish Gaelic was first written by Ogma, the Celtic God of language.
This original painting comes ready to hang on a traditional profile stretched canvas with a Certificate of Authenticity. Floater frame not included.
